Il CUT, Centro Universitario Teatrale di Trieste,

grazie al supporto della Regione FVG,

è lieto di invitarvi dal 7 al 14 giugno 2015 alla seconda edizione del TriesteACT Festival ,

il primo festival internazionale di teatro giovane della città di Trieste e della regione autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia.

TriesteACTFestival nasce perché desideriamo un teatro onesto e forte, che non sia fatto semplicemente per mostrarsi, ma che con coraggio, energia e passione gridi della nostra generazione, e con lei di quelle passate e di quelle che verranno. Desideriamo un teatro di qualità, un teatro che più che eseguito sia sentito, che trasporti la nostra voce, i nostri cuori e i nostri spiriti oltre noi stessi. Desideriamo un teatro che non si accontenti più di un facile divertimento e di una provocazione scontata, ma che ricerchi la via della poesia, che leviti di bellezza e che danzi verso la costruzione di una nuova via. Desideriamo per la nostra città un nuovo luogo di confronto teatrale e umano e un’occasione imperdibile di festa e lavoro. Desideriamo assaporare la ricchezza della diversità, che non divide ma che unisce ancora di più, nell’arte e nell’essere cittadini. Noi crediamo che i giovani possano e debbano cercare di cambiare ognuno un pezzettino di mondo. Questo è il nostro piccolo ma coraggioso tentativo.

Crediamo nello scambio più che nella competizione e crediamo che tutti abbiamo qualcosa da imparare dagli altri; ecco perché TriesteACT Festival invita tutti i gruppi teatrali (amatoriali, scuole di teatro e professionisti) under 35 d’Italia e del mondo a inviare la propria domanda di partecipazione:

11 compagnie daranno vita a 5 giorni di  workshop, conferenze e spettacoli aperti a tutta la città.

Ogni sera assisteremo a due spettacoli dei gruppi presenti; le mattine invece saranno dedicate a workshop aperti a tutti, partecipanti e non del festival, che i registi di ogni gruppo saranno chiamati a condurre.

Ai 11 gruppi partecipanti verrà offerto: vitto, alloggio, sale prove per i workshop e per la preparazione degli spettacoli, un teatro con tecnici, impianto audio e luci.

Da quest’anno gli spettacoli del TriesteACT Festival saranno ospitati presso il Teatro Sloveno di Trieste.

Thanks to the support of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Municipality and theUniversity of Trieste, CUT,

University Theatre Center of Trieste, would like to invite you to the second edition of TriesteACT Festival,

the first international youth theatre festival of Trieste and the autonomous region of FVG,

From 7. to 14. June 2015.

We want/wish to find a way to a honest and strong theatre,

not intended to show off  but– with courage, energy and passion – to shout about our generation,the ones from the past and the ones still to come.

We want a high-quality theatre, a theatre where feelings are more important than actions, able to transport our voice, our hearts and our spirits beyond ourselves. We want a theatre where easy entertainment and pointless provocation cannot be enough, a theatre capable to research into poetry, to look for beauty and to dance towards the construction of a new way.

We want for our town a new place where to exchange about theatre and human issues;

that’s a wonderful opportunity for having fun and working together.

We want to taste the richness of diversity, which does not divide but unify, as artists and citizens.

We believe that young people can and must try to change each a small part of the world we are living in.

This is our humble but brave attempt. For all these reasons – and more – TriesteACTFestival was born.

We believe in exchanging more than in competing;

that’s the reason why all under 35 theatre groups (amateurs, theatre schools and professionals) – from Italy and the world – are invited to apply to participate in TriesteACT Festival 2015: 11 groups will be involved in 5 days of workshops and performances open to the citizenship.
